Biography
Alec has spent his entire career in a courtroom. Prior to joining Lindhorst and Dreidame, Alec worked as a staff attorney in the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas for over twelve years. He began as a staff attorney for the Common Pleas Magistrate in one of the busiest courtrooms in the State of Ohio. In that role, he got exposure to a wide range of cases including foreclosures, collection cases, civil protection orders, administrative appeals, and real property disputes.
Alec went onto clerk for Common Pleas Judge Lisa C. Allen. Judge Allen’s docket included personal injury cases, construction cases, insurance disputes, complex litigation, and felony criminal cases. Alec played an integral role in the day-to-day operations of the courtroom including legal research, drafting entries and jury instructions, and overall case management of both civil and criminal cases. He has seen all types of cases play out in the courtroom from the very beginning all the way through trial.
At Lindhorst and Dreidame, Alec utilizes the skills he has learned over the years for the benefit of his clients. Alec explains the law in a way ordinary people can understand. Given his experience, Alec focuses on the issues that matter and advises clients how courts are likely to rule. Alec uses the research and writing skills he honed as a law clerk to tell the client’s story with legal precedent to support the client’s position. Going to the courthouse and litigating cases in the courtroom is where he is most comfortable.
Alec lives on the Westside of Cincinnati with his wife and two children. In his free time, Alec enjoys taking his kids to parks throughout the city, grilling out with friends and family, and taking in a high school football game on a Friday night.
